ALL – STAR GAME

PLAYER INFORMATION SHEET

 

WHEN AND WHERE: THE KBCA ALL-STAR GAME WILL BE PLAYED ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2008. The Girls Game is at 6:00 p.m. and Boys Game is at 8:15 p.m. The games will be played in Lee Arena on the Washburn University Campus in Topeka.

 

LODGING: All participants in the All-Star Games will be lodged at KBCA expense, at the Living Learning Center on the Washburn University Campus. We will arrange for your meals during your stay in Topeka. Members of the All-Star Coaching Staff will be on the premises at all times.

 

TRANSPORTATION: Players should arrange their own transportation to and from Topeka.

 

ARRIVAL: We ask that players report to the Living Learning Center between 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5^th, 2008. Your All-Star Coaches and KBCA staff will be there to greet you on your arrival.

 

PRACTICE EQUIPMENT: Players should bring their own practice equipment, including game shoes. There will be three practice sessions during the two day stay. PLEASE NOTE: Kansas State High School Activities Association rules prohibit use of any school-owned property in an All-Star Game.

 

GAME EQUIPMENT: Players will be provided game uniforms. You may keep your uniform.

 

CLOTHING: Casual, comfortable clothing is suggested.

Please remember you will often be in public with a group of All-Star basketball players, consequently, you will attract attention. Personal pride should dictate your taste in clothes and in your conduct. At the reception mentioned below please bring suitable clothing for the ceremony where you will be honored.

 

MONEY: The KCBA will pay for all your lodging, and meals until you leave.

 

DEPARTURE: Players should arrange for their own departure from Lee Arena after the game. You will check out of the Living Learning Center before the games.

 

Please keep this sheet of information as you will no doubt want to refer to it before coming to Topeka.

RECEPTION: There will be a reception to present various awards and to recognize the All-Star players and their coaches at 1:30 p.m. in the Washburn Union, Washburn Room A on Wednesday August 6^th, 2008. Family and friends are all invited.
